Lovett and Pace Academy joined together in a special photography workshop on Ossabaw Island, Georgia, on April 1-3, 2016. Caroline Carr Grant, Thomas Flournoy, James Harrison, Charlie Timberlake '06, and Upper School photography instructor Karey Walter attended the workshop. Fine Art photographer Kathryn Kolb was the visiting artist on the trip. Kathryn Kolb, an accomplished photographer and master naturalist, worked alongside the students while exploring the island. Ossabaw Island was home to Native Americans for 4,000 years before the arrival of Europeans in the sixteenth century. In 1978, the Torrey and West families sold and gift-deeded Ossabaw to Georgia, making it Georgia's first Heritage Preserve.
