All international applicants interested in Lovett are required to apply through New Oasis International Education Inc. This agency provides necessary support and guidance while the student is attending The Lovett School. For more information about New Oasis, please contact Mr. Sean Chen, President and CEO of New Oasis through www.newoasisedu.com or email email@example.com.
The Lovett School welcomes a small number of international students each year who are interested in joining the Lovett community, culminating in graduation. We welcome students who are eager to immerse themselves in our community, taking full advantage of academics, athletics, and the arts.
Please note that English proficiency is of the utmost importance for success in our curriculum, which relies heavily on reading and writing. Please also note that athletic eligibility for international students is severely limited by the Georgia High School Association, and international students will be able to compete for no more than one year.
We will admit international students into Grades 9 or 10, with the expectation that they will graduate from The Lovett School. Students are expected to return home for the winter and summer holidays.
The Lovett School will issue an I-20 to facilitate a student’s application for an F-1 visa to study in the United States.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
All applicants whose native language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in addition to the SSAT. A minimum score of 100 on the internet based TOEFL test indicates that an applicant’s English skills are strong enough for full participation in Lovett’s program. Please note that the applicant will need to register several weeks before the test administration date, so testing should be scheduled as soon as possible.
Interviews are required. Competitive applicants will be scheduled for an interview by the Lovett Admission Office through a New Oasis representative.
