The Human Ambassador Project
Posted 01/28/2016 09:38AM
Ten Lovett baseball players will take part in a race awareness project called The Human Ambassador Project (HAP) during the weekend of January 30, 2016. The goal of the program is to have players from The Lovett School, Westminster, Pace Academy, and the L.E.A.D. Ambassadors participate in this event.
HAP is a collaborative project with Metro Area Independent Schools and diversity and leadership expert, Al Vivian. Mr. Vivian is the president/CEO of Basic Diversity (www.basicdiversity.com). HAP provides a safe forum where youth from different races and socioeconomic backgrounds can come together and have real, earnest conversations about race. The hope is that these conversations will lead to practical tactics that they can use in their everyday lives to create and maintain healthy relationships with peers of a different race.
