Breakthrough Atlanta goes virtual and needs your help!
Due to COVID-19 Breakthrough Atlanta is moving to virtual learning, and we would love the help of Lovett families to ensure our students' basic and educational needs are met this summer.
As public schools close for the duration of the school year, many Breakthrough Atlanta students are experiencing the combined impacts of learning loss, food insecurity, and trauma related to social isolation and economic upheaval. Experts are calling this an “educational catastrophe” that could result in the loss of a full year’s learning.
While we can't serve our students on the Lovett campus this summer as we have for the past 24 years, the Breakthrough Atlanta team is hard at work preparing to bring Breakthrough to them. The Breakthrough Atlanta Impact Fund will provide a high-impact virtual learning program and necessities such as technology, meals for food-insecure students and their families, counseling support and referrals for support services.
