Lovett Employees Make a Difference With Clean Commuting

Written by Courtney Fowler, Director of Communications and Marketing

As part of a multi-pronged approach to positively impacting our community, Lovett has partnered with Georgia Commute Options to launch an employee commuter program that is already seeing great results.
Here are some of the highlights reported to date (8/12/19 - 9/30/19):
  • 41 Lovett employees have signed on with the program
  • Nearly 75% completed at least one clean commute - via carpooling, walking or biking - in the first six weeks of school
  • By the end of September, their efforts had taken 6,156 vehicle miles off metro Atlanta roads, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 2.39 metric tons
Georgia Commute Options, a program managed by the Atlanta Regional Commission and funded through the Georgia Department of Transportation, works with employers, commuters and schools to encourage drivers who ride alone to make the switch to a commute option such as riding transit, teleworking, carpooling, vanpooling, walking and/or biking, with the ultimate goal of reducing congestion and the emissions that contribute to smog pollution.  For more information, please visit
