Debate Team National Tournament Results

The Lovett Speech & Debate team had 7 students qualify for the National Catholic Forensic League Grand Nationals Tournament in Milwaukee, WI, over Memorial Day weekend. Congratulations to all qualifiers: Caroline Stubbs '19 and Alex Spitale '21 (not pictured) in Original Oratory, Peter Kessler '19 and Sloane Saxon '20 in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Dylan Shapiro '19 and Nikita Gupta '21 in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Grayson Blaske in Dramatic Interpretation.
Out of over 200 debaters in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, rising senior Sloane Saxon made it past preliminary rounds on Saturday with a record of 4 wins and 1 loss to the first of the elimination rounds.
