The fifth annual Kipp-Lovett-Westminster College Fair was a tremendous success! With over 270 colleges in attendance from across the globe, the fair offered a unique chance for approximately 300 Lovett 10th - 12th graders to connect with admission officers. Parents sessions were also offered for KLW parents on topics including athletic recruitment, college admission, and the HOPE scholarship. While approximately 3,500 students participate in the fair, the first hour and a half is open exclusively to students from host high schools.
Seniors Davis Burch and Kaitlyn Garrett shared that “it was great that Lovett-Westminster-KIPP students had the first hour and a half to visit schools before the invited high schools arrived,” and senior JT Mulcahy explained that “the event was well worth attending because I was able to ask representatives questions that I hadn’t before---such as asking about double majoring.”
For parents who were unable to attend sessions this weekend, the Lovett's College Counseling Office offers similar events in January and February. Be on the lookout for invitations to those programs later this fall!
