In case of illness, please call Mr. Mallet, summer school director, by 8:30 am at (404) 262-3032, ext. 1467. The student must bring a signed note from his/her parent the day following the absence.
Make-up work is the student’s responsibility. The student should consult class syllabi, classmates, or the teacher for assignments. If the absence occurs on the day of a scheduled test or quiz or the due date of a written assignment, the student completes that work on the day of return. If the absence occurs the day before the test, the student must take any assessment as scheduled. Once a student has arrived on campus, he/she may not leave campus until dismissed by the teacher.
If there is an emergency situation, parents must contact the summer school director. If a student has more than five late arrivals (after 8:10 am), he/she is in jeopardy of not receiving credit for the course. Doctor’s appointments must be scheduled after school hours.
