Brandon Evans joined Lovett in 2023 as Associate Athletic Director. He came to Lovett from Atlanta Classical Academy, where he served as Assistant Athletic Director and Physical Education teacher.
Before beginning his career in athletic administration, Brandon was a standout basketball player. He spent two years with the East Carolina University Pirates before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro Spartans, where he completed an impressive college basketball career. Following graduation, he continued playing professionally in Europe.
Currently, Evans serves as an assistant coach for Lovett's varsity girls' basketball team. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Bryan School of Business at UNC Greensboro.
Julie Brentzel
Assistant Coach
Julie Brentzel is a dedicated Strength and Conditioning Coach with over a decade of experience in athletic performance and education. Julie holds a Master’s in Sports Medicine with a concentration on Strength and Conditioning from Armstrong State University and a Bachelor's of Kinesiology and Health Promotions from the University of Kentucky. She currently serves as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Upper School Physical Education Department Chair at The Lovett School. Her background includes roles at Savannah College of Art and Design and Armstrong State University, where she developed and implemented tailored strength and conditioning programs. She holds multiple certifications, including NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Weightlifting, and Precision Nutrition.
