Previous Head Volleyball Coach and Administrator at The Bullis School, where they founded the school’s first Girls Volleyball program in 2016. Under their leadership, the program has grown to include Varsity, JV, and Middle School teams and achieved remarkable success, including the 2024 ISL AA Championship, a #1 DMV ranking from The Washington Post, and a top-30 national ranking by USA Today.
Named the 2024 AVCA High School Coach of the Year, has coached multiple AVCA All-Region and All-American athletes, with several players earning Player of the Year honors and spots on the National Team Development Program (NTDP). Their focus on player development and strategic growth has made Bullis a powerhouse in high school volleyball.
As a decorated athlete, Cheryl Weaver was a three-time Gatorade State Player of the Year and USA Today Fab Fifty selection. As the #1 national recruit, they went on to win a National Championship at Long Beach State University, earning three First-Team AVCA All-American honors and two Big West Conference Player of the Year awards. Cheryl competed professionally for over eight years and represented the USA National Team from 2002 to 2012.
With a strong background in player evaluation, physical fitness, program development, and college recruitment, Cheryl is committed to helping athletes succeed on and off the court. Cheryl will be a full-time physical education teacher in the upper school at Lovett.
