This virtual event will be offered five times during the admission season (October-March) and is a required step in the application process.
    • Teacher Evaluation(s) - We ask that this evaluation be completed and submitted by your child's teacher after December 1st, allowing them a good length of time to get to know your child and thus offer the most up-to-date insight on your child's growth. • Report Cards/Transcript (Grades 1-5 only):

    • Lovett Observation.
      • Observations for Kindergarten through Grade 4 is an observation consisting of video submissions of activities completed in the student's home or other quiet space of choice. The length of each video may vary, but collectively, recording all videos will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes. All families who submit their child's application by January 19 will be required to complete the observation step on January 22 or 23. Detailed instructions will be emailed to you between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22 and completed videos must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 23.
      • Observations for Grade 5 will consist of two parts. Part 1 is a video submission based on a book review. Applicants may purchase Kidstory: 50 Children and Young People Who Shook Up the World, by Tom Adams (readily available online). Directions on the video assessment will be released in mid-December. The book review will be due prior to your child's In-Person Lovett Assessment. Part 2 is an In-Person Assessment. During this session, your child will join an Admission Counselor in a small group setting to work on math and writing skills. These sessions will take place in Lovett's Lower School Library Classroom. Students will have 1 hour to complete the assessment.
    • Joint Admission Testing Program (JATP) Evaluation (Please visit www.JATP.org to schedule). JATP evaluation results must be received by February 15, 2022.
