College Counseling

It is the mission of Lovett’s College Counseling team to work with students toward self-examination, goal-setting, decision-making, and self-advocacy in the search for options that will allow them to continue their learning beyond Lovett’s gates.

The team offers grade-specific programming and resources starting in ninth grade, with more dedicated and personalized meetings and events starting in tenth grade and lasting through senior year. Our impressive team of college counselors has more than 35 years of college admission experience at 12 different colleges and universities across the country, and shares more than 45 years of college counseling experience.

College Acceptance and Matriculation

Recent graduates have matriculated at dozens of colleges and universities across the country and around the world.

The 144 seniors in the Class of 2024 submitted applications to 158 different colleges and universities.
The average number of applications was 6.5.
Graduates matriculated to more than 53 different institutions in 23 states, one foreign country, and the District of Columbia.
83% of the class matriculated out-of-state, with 22% attending schools out of the South.
98% were admitted to at least one school by the end of January.
12 students are recruited athletes who will participate in the NCAA program.
27% of seniors applied via Early Decision I or Early Decision II applications.
