Grandparents and Special Friends Day is a cherished Lovett tradition that celebrates those who help shape and support Lovett’s students. During Spring 2025, grandparents and special friends of kindergarten and sixth-grade students visited campus, with each event dedicated to connection, learning, and love. Grandparents and Special Friends Day offered guests a glimpse into what it’s like to be a Lovett student.
In February, Kindergarten students shared songs, worked on crafts together, and even got the chance to show off their classrooms. During the Middle School event in April, sixth-graders participated in group activities, including math trivia and construction projects.
“Grandparents and Special Friends Day was a wonderful opportunity for our school community to celebrate the bonds across generations,” says Alisha Fisher, Head of Middle School. “Grandparents and special friends experienced the energy and warmth of our classrooms firsthand. They worked collaboratively on hands-on learning tasks, group work, and interactive games.”
Fisher emphasized that she is grateful to the more than 400 guests who traveled to campus for a day on the Riverbank; Lovett would not be where it is today without the support of its families.
