Be a part of Lovett’s longest-running and most popular summer camp, going strong since 1988! Campers play kickball, dodge ball, indoor soccer, tag, water balloon toss, water basketball, free swim and more. Campers also take an off-campus field trip each week on Thursday.

From Camper to Counselor

For Craig Rollins, Sports and Games Camp was the “only reason to get up in the morning in the summer.” This five-year camper and two-year counselor weighs in with some of his best summer memories.

Best field trip as a camper and counselor?
As a camper, Whitewater. As a counselor, Six Flags.

Which was more fun, being a camper or being a counselor?
It’s a draw.  Win-win.

Advice for campers?
There’s no reason to be quiet. Get into it!

What makes camp special?
It’s a great way to get immersed in the school and meet students of all ages. The younger campers look up to the older students, and the older campers love playing with the younger campers.

Kenyon Boatfield

Director of Sports and Games Camp

Kenyon knows kids! In his work as a fifth grade assistant teacher and Lovett’s assistant strength and conditioning coach, Kenyon knows the Lovett community, from Lower School children to Upper School football players, from campers to counselors. This will be Kenyon’s 11th summer working with Sports and Games Camp and his eighth as the director.

What's for lunch?

The lunch bunch is part of the fun at Sports and Games Camp. Each week, campers enjoy meals from Chick-fil-A, Willy’s, Zaxby’s and Papa John’s Pizza. Every Wednesday, we take it on the road and eat at our field trip destination.

What do I wear?

Tennis shoes, T-shirts, and shorts

What do I bring?

A

A good attitude, lots of energy, bathing suit, and towel. Lunch, drinks, and snacks are provided.

What about carpool?

A

Carpool drop off is from 8:45–9:00 am in front of the Wallace Gym. Pick up is promptly at 3:00 pm in the same location.
