Sports and Games, Jr.

It’s games galore at Lovett’s longest-running summer camp, now customized for students in Grades 1-3.  Campers play kickball, dodge ball, indoor soccer and more and face off in Bingo and sports trivia contests. Campers also enjoy free swim every day and take a weekly off-campus field trip.

Advice for campers?
Be willing to go out and meet the older campers. Camp is a great opportunity to mix it up with campers of all ages and to get to know some of the high school counselors. My best camp memories involve my counselors–I really looked up to the older guys.

Buddy Warren

Director of Sports and Games, Jr.

Whether in the classroom or on the athletic fields, Buddy loves interacting with and instructing children.  In his second year as the director of Sports and Games, Jr., Buddy also teaches middle school physical education and coaches varsity football, middle school wrestling and 8th/9th grade baseball at Lovett. He is a lifelong educator, having worked at high schools across the Atlanta metro area.

What's for lunch?

At Sports and Games, Jr., the fun doesn’t stop when we break for lunch. Each week, campers enjoy meals from Chick-fil-A, Willy’s, Zaxby’s and Papa John’s Pizza. Every Wednesday, we take it on the road and eat at our field trip destination.

What do I wear?

Tennis shoes, T-shirts, and shorts

A good attitude, lots of energy, bathing suit and towel. Lunch, drinks, and snacks are provided.

What about carpool?

A

Carpool drop off is from 8:45–9:00 am in front of the Wallace Gym. Pick up is promptly at 3:00 pm in the same location.
