SAT Scores
SAT scores for the middle 50 percent of the Class of 2009 were 570-670 critical reading; 570-690 math; 570-680 writing.
Matriculation
All of Lovett's 2009 graduates were admitted to four-year colleges. The 138 members in the Class of 2009 filled out 797 applications with 517 (65 percent) given accept status and 84 (11 percent) given wait-list status. Members of the Class of 2009 were accepted by 142 institutions from coast to coast.
Advanced Placement & Honor Programs
In the spring of 2009, 180 Upper School students took 383 advanced placement (AP) exams in 24 areas. Eighty percent of the exams were scored a "3" or higher. Most colleges and universities give course credit or advanced standing to students who score a "3" or above on the AP exams.
The Upper School offers 24 honors and 18 advanced placement courses.
Chapel Services
Each school division has mandatory chapel services. These services are understood from a Judeo-Christian perspective and expressed through a Christian orientation.
Foreign Language
Foreign language instruction begins in Kindergarten and continues through Grade 12.
Expansion & Student Openings
The expansion grades for 2009-10 were Kindergarten (75 spaces), Grade 5 (approximately 20 spaces), Grade 6 (approximately 40 spaces), and Grade 9 (approximately 20 spaces). New students are admitted in other grades when space is available.
For the 2009-10 school year, Lovett received over 800 applications for approximately 200 openings.

Extracurricular Activities
More than 90 percent of our student body participates in a Fine Arts activity during the year, and more than 75 percent of students in Grades 7-12 are a member of a sports team.

Financial Aid
More than $1.8 million in financial aid assistance was granted to students for 2008-09. Financial aid awards are not given for the purpose of interscholastic competition (e.g., music, debate, athletics), but rather for demonstrated financial need. Aid is awarded in Kindergarten-Grade 12.
After School Activities Program
The Lovett School offers an After School Activities Program for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5, and an Extended Day Program for students in Grades 6, 7, and 8.
Faculty
The average faculty teaching experience is 17 years. Of the school's 235 professional staff, 133 have master's degrees and 12 hold doctoral degrees.
Semester & Year Away Programs
Lovett freshman and sophomores are invited to apply to semester-away and year-away programs to complement their Lovett education. Options include Outdoor Academy, Swiss Semester, Maine Coast Semester, CityTerm, Mountain School, Rocky Mountain Semester, Oxbow School, School Year Abroad, and The School for Ethics and Global Leadership.
Accreditation
Lovett is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Southern Association of Independent Schools. The school is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, the Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools, the Secondary School Admission Testing Board, and the Joint Admission Testing Program.
