	Parent organizations Parent-school communication Parent education College counseling Photo gallery Applying to Lovett Tuition & financial aid Forms download Campus store		Parent-School Communication Student-Parent Orientation Orientations are held in August for all new students and parents as well as all sixth and ninth grade students and parents. New Parent Orientation Parents new to Lovett are invited to an evening orientation and light dinner at the school in the fall of each year to meet school administrators, parent leaders, and trustee members. Parent Nights Parent Nights are held each year during the fall for parents and faculty in each school division. These evening meetings provide parents with an opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and hear plans for the new school year. Parent Forums Parent forums are scheduled in October and in February for each of the three school divisions and are open to all parents. The school principal and counselor, academic dean, and headmaster are present to hear and respond to parent questions, suggestions, and concerns. Parents are encouraged to contact the school office with questions to be placed on the agenda prior to the meetings. Parent-Teacher/Advisor Conferences Lovett regularly schedules parent-teacher conferences in the Lower School, and parent-advisor-student conferences in the Middle and Upper Schools. Conferences provide an opportunity for parents and teachers/advisors to review the student's academic progress and to discuss any issues identified by either the parent, the teacher, or the student. Specialty Sessions Opportunities are offered throughout the school year to educate parents on the college admission process, learning styles, academic course selection, athletic policies, and other topics. Occasionally book discussions are offered through informal gatherings and the school with interested parents and teachers. Written Communication The Lovett web site provides daily communication between the school and parents. The Lovett Lines newsletter provides monthly communication September through June. New parents also receive a copy of the The Lovett-Parent Partnership brochure, outlining the school's and the family's mutual expectations and responsibilities. Parents are invited to an informal small-group meeting with the headmaster to discuss this brochure.
