Seth Decker '97
Seth Decker, Lovett Class of 1997, is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Boston University Theatre Conservatory, with a BFA in Classical Stage Acting. He has been involved in the theater since age 8, where he got his start in the Children's Theater of Charlotte, North Carolina. Since then Seth has been seen on the stage all over the country, from San Francisco to Boston. He has appeared in various television and radio commercials and lives in Atlanta, where he has become highly regarded for his original theater, storytelling, music, and art programs.
Seth founded the Red Door Playhouse with his wife, Leah, in April 2003 and continues to have great success as a professional actor and musician. At the Red Door Playhouse, his original programs include an award-winning summer drama camp, after-school acting and film classes, a monthly improv comedy show, and many family concerts and performances each year.
Seth and his band, The Missing Piece, have created three original rock CDs for kids, which can be heard nationally on XM Radio. The Red Door Playhouse has recently been named Best In Atlanta by Atlanta magazine and has been recognized nationally two years in a row by Nickelodeon’s Parent’s Picks Awards. Seth is excited to continue inspiring young artists toward success, and building the Red Door Playhouse concept into a thriving art center for all to enjoy.
