Lovett is an accredited member of both the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). To meet the standards of these accrediting bodies, all faculty earn six semester hours of professional development credit during each five years of employment. Activities for which credits are awarded include attendance or participation in professional meetings or conferences, participation in Lovett study groups, and course work at a college or university.
In addition to formal learning experiences, Lovett faculty are encouraged to participate in ongoing, job-embedded professional development through the school’s Learning Community as well as face-to-face and online personal learning networks.
