Parent Engagement

We welcome parents and families into our community with the same excitement as our students.

Lovett appreciates and values our parent, guardian, and family volunteers. Family involvement plays a crucial role in the education Lovett is able to provide and strengthens relationships between parents, faculty, students, and administrators. No matter where your interests lie, there is an opportunity for parents and families to help the School and build community with one another.

Lovett Parent Association (LPA)

The LPA is the official parent organization dedicated to fostering volunteer interest and engagement among the parents and guardians of Lovett students. The group supports Lovett’s mission to be a community of belonging that develops students of honor, faith, and wisdom with the character and intellect to thrive in learning and life. Every parent of a Lovett student is a member of the Parent Association, and there are numerous ways for parents to get involved, from community service and teacher appreciation events to campus decorations and library and front desk support.

LionBackers are essential to the success of Lovett athletic programs through their "fun raising" and fundraising. Through memberships, concessions, and the annual golf and tennis tournaments, the LionBackers are able to financially assist areas of athletics and physical education not covered by the school budget. Throughout the year, the LionBackers host various events that help promote attendance and/or demonstrate support and spirit for the 23 varsity athletic teams.

Parent Support Groups (PSGs)

Parent Support Groups offer a wide variety of grade-specific parent education opportunities for Grades 5-12. Held two to four times per year, each grade-specific PSG meeting serves as an outlet for open communication among parents to provide information to assist parents in making informed, grade-appropriate parenting decisions. These gatherings also give parents the opportunity to network with the parents in their student’s grade.
