The Extended Day Program (EDP) provides a comfortable, secure, and relaxed environment for Lovett children.
EDP is a supervisory program designed for all Middle School students remaining on campus after 4:00 PM, who are not involved in a school-sponsored practice, rehearsal, or meeting. This includes athletes who are not picked up immediately after practice, intramural participants who have a late ride home, students who are waiting for an older sibling to finish a school-sponsored activity, and students who are not picked up immediately after applied lessons.
There are two EDP programs offered in order to meet the needs of different grade levels. Sixth graders are still very young and have limited opportunities to participate in after-school activities. For this reason, the EDP 6 Program provides more structure and activities after school for students during their sixth grade year. On the other hand, seventh and eighth grade students are older and have numerous opportunities to be involved in extracurricular activities in the afternoon. The EDP 7 & 8 Program provides supervision in the afternoon for these students while giving them the opportunity to attend on-campus, extracurricular events.
