Q
Do you offer financial aid?
-
A
Yes. But as a member school of the Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools (AAAIS), Lovett does not provide financial awards for any reason other than demonstrated need, and awards may not exceed that need. AAAIS prohibits the use of scholarships for academic, athletic, or artistic merit and talent as recruitment tools. Demonstrated need is defined as the difference between the tuition cost at Lovett and the recommended amount which a family is able to contribute towards the applicant's education in a given year. The Report of Financial Contribution (RFC) from SSS provides a recommendation of a family's ability to pay for education, after considering such factors as net income, assets, unusual expenses such as medical costs, number of dependents, and number of children attending tuition-charging educational institutions. For more information on affording a Lovett School education, please visit our Financial Aid page.

Q
For what grades does Lovett accept applications?
-
A
Our expansion grades are Kindergarten (75 spaces), Grade 5 (20 spaces), Grade 6 (40 spaces), and Grade 9 (20 spaces). New students are admitted in other grades when space becomes available.
-
Q
Do I have to tour Lovett before I apply?
-
A
While we recommend taking a tour or attending an Open House to hear from the school administrators, see the campus, speak with and ask questions of our faculty and staff members, and learn more about our various programs, these tours are not considered as part of the application process and your decision to participate in a tour will not be an influencing factor in admission decisions.

Q
Are Lovett students required to wear uniforms?
-
A
Yes, each division (Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools) has their own daily uniform, with a special uniform for chapel days. Uniforms are available for sale in the Lovett Campus Store and through the Lovett Parent Association's Recycled Uniform Sales. Lovett feels that school uniforms help avoid fashion fads, reduce a family's clothing expenditures, and encourage everyone to focus on what is inside a student rather than on outward appearances. See the Student Uniforms page for more details.

The school is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, the Atlanta Area Association of Independent Schools, the Secondary School Admission Testing Board, and the Joint Admission Testing Program.
