The history curriculum utilizes a multifaceted approach in its courses with emphasis on research and writing, on interrelating various periods of history, and on interrelating other disciplines within chronological frameworks.
To receive a Lovett diploma, a student must take three units: one in American Studies, one in Western Civilization, and one consisting of any two semester-length courses.
American Studies Insitute
Established in 2004, the American Studies Institute encourages teachers and students to enrich their understanding of America by searching beyond the confines of a specific discipline.
